Dalai Lama's words (probably a spoiler of some sort) |
x-no-archive:yes
Written in 1998, the Dalai Lama's *The Path to Tranquility, Daily Wisdom* is
a page-a-day book of advice and esoteric thoughts.
"Since we have a natural compassion in us, and that compassion has to
manifest itself, it might be good to awaken it. Violence done to an innocent
person, for example, can make us indignant, scandalize us, and in so doing
help us to discover our compassion. By its very violence, television might
keep us in a state of alert. However, it is very dangerous if violence leads
to indifference. Thus, a central point of our teaching is how to reach
nonattainment without falling into indifference."
Good words for this day.

It's sad that self-described moderates have come to embrace politicians who
continue to decimate the very Constitution and values that we Americans once
took for granted. Do you fit the profile?

Good words for this day.
When Dalai Lama ruled Tibet, the majority of Tibetans were treated like
slaves by the ruling religious leaders. Most Tibetans are better off
today, under Chinese rule.

Yes, that's why the Tibetans so dearly want to get rid of Chinese
rule and return to life under the Dalai Lama.

good words for this day, good words for this administration and this
country.
those "terror alerts" don't mean anything anymore. it's like the boy
who cried wolf. what happens when there really *is* a threat? we've
been under threat of attack for so long... who cares anymore?

I do. 9/11 has fucked me in subtle ways. and I'm the type
that the FBI might consider fucking-up. but I'm a subersive
as far as they are concerned. I don't shoot unless shot-at
Uncle Fed has visited me a couple of times...once about a
close-assault style weapon. I didn't know they were illegal
and they didn't have their guns out, first or second time
second time I had my guns put-up so they wouldn't get stole
carrying a concealed weapon prevents it from being stolen
considering I've been stopped for wearing a big knife, I=20
figured they'd not like me with a slung M1 carbine and a
ammo belt, much less a riot gun and bandoliers of rounds
where I went to school, our mentors and anscestors did...
I live in a target-rich area but I don't give a ***** about their
assets. destroying them would be stupid, and I'm lazy
some fuckasses go-after a large fuel storage area that is close to
where I live, I'll use a sawed-off and fragmenting slugs on them
we had a multimurder happen a week or so ago...first one for here
