Object: dammit. (rat post)
there's a siamese rex rat up for adoption not too terribly far from
here. a rescue. he looks so sad. i want him.
<http--www.cyberpawz.com-Coppermine-albums-userpics-10059-normal_fink1.JPG>
i really ought to just go ahead and get that "sucker" tattoo....
un(?)fortunately i have absolutely no cage space left at all. none.
zero. my stupid unsociable boys who won't live with other rats have
forced me into FIVE cages. for 12 rats. which is just absurd. 3 sets
of 2, 1 by himself, and gus with his four ladies.
no smeeze rat for me.
must.
resist.

i don't think any of the cages are big enough to put more rats in if i
split them, but that's a good idea. i have room for one more girlie in
the big cage though....
and since my dumb link didn't work: a siamese rat is colored like a
siamese cat (cream fur with dark nose and bum) and rex is curly fur.

Interesting I just thought rats were rats, but they have specific breeds,
like cats.

i noticed that he has red eyes. is that his retina (the same "red eye"
problem as when you use flash on humans in a dark room, where their pupils
are wide open), or are his irises red? i'm guessing it is the former. the
"red eye reduction" preflash should work on animals just as on humans, i
guess...
just curious.

he has red eyes/irises. it's not just the flash. the flash makes them
look really scary and glowy though. rats can have pink eyes, darker
red/ruby eyes, black eyes, or one red and one black (called odd-eye).
more than you probably wanted to know ;)

no, that's interesting. of course, now i'll probably have nightmares about
giant rats with red eyes. :)
