Object: dealing with fear...
It's seems like a major source of the problems in the world stem
from fear... all kinds of fears, which seem to be manifested in many
different forms, and on varying degrees... some people respond to fear
by thinking and behaving in certain ways, other people respond in
totally different ways, and then everything in between, the full
continuum... I guess one of the questions is about how to not let fear
stop you in your own life from functioning, from doing new things,
from relating to other people, from getting outside of your comfort
zone where you can take chances and risks, from being able to take in
new information, and see thing in new ways... It's strange how so
completly your mind can be fairly sharp, and then very quickly, it can
seem to shut down... and back and forth... It does seem to help to
have positive memories and postive images in your mind... the tricky
thing is keeping them there for a long period of time... to go from
having the thoughts and feelings, to acting on them... self discipline
and structure can produce very ambivalent feelings... on one hand
there an anathema, you don't want structure and self discipline, on
the other hand, they can be very helpful in functioning better, and
there is also a part of you that enjoys that sense of structure... I
guess you just have to be open to the mixed feelings... we all have
mixed feelings, and many sides of ourselves... sometimes you think
that when you have various strong feelings, that one feeling has to be
stronger then the other... and maybe some feelings are stronger then
others, but they both can coexist...
