So often it's easy to remember and obsess about old memories... How
do we let go of all the old memories that disturb us?

Memories are like stones that we pick up and place in a sack to carry
with us. Every once in a while we reach back and pick out a stone from
that sack and examine it. For some reason, we seem to always choose
the bad stones. Put it back, pick up another or imagine sending that
stone skimming across a lake until it disappears forever.
Try making a collection of stones or charms, or whatever and assign
each a good memory. When you're pulling a bad stone out of your sack,
put it back and go to your memory collection. Try to remember why each
was significant.
Just my thought.

Often along with these old memories comes unforgiveness. We still
hold a grudge because of what someone did or said. Each one of us
does have the power to be set free. The key is forgiving the one who
offended you. Forgiveness is an act that you do for your own well-
being - mental, emotional and spiritual. The offender doesn't need to
ask for forgiveness. By forgiving someone you set yourself free from
the toxic effect that unforgiveness has on our lives. If you're
interested in knowing more l would recommend the book "Total
Forgiveness" by R.T. Kendall. Wishing you God's best as you deal with
these issues!

thanks Kc... I appreciate your suggestion... that is a big part of
it... I often remember things people said that hurt my feelings... and
I do have a hard time letting go of the anger... It's something I want
to do, but I have a tough time doing it... thanks again...
