disgusted with ebay |
got screwed on a deal and can't get my money back, ebay won't do a thing
since it's under the limit, bought 2 items from one individual and ebay
won't combine the 2 , which would be enough for a claim, but on their own
they don't. What do they care anyways? Ebay got their money out of it and
so did the seller, wtf do they care about my lack of receiving?
It's really silly, I'm so infuriated at this. It wasn't much money, and
something I shouldn't have splurged on to begin with, but I saw it, and bid
and won when I didn't expect to. Now I'm paying in more ways than one and
have nothing to show for it. Kind of like my life as a whole.
These people are power sellers on ebay but they get about 2 to 6 % negative
feedback, I should have listened, but thought I won't be in that percentage.
Pisses me off that ebay just blows it off. these people even turned me in
for lack of payment, when it was their fault for not answering my emails
needing totals and I paid within 10 days, but because of their complaints
(if they would have read their email it would have made it sooner), I
couldn't bid on anything for several days (been trying to get some different
medical books I need for work cheap), thanks to them. Now 7 weeks later,
they have my money and won't give me my money back or my merchandise I
bought and ebay keeps them as power sellers.
story of my life. sucks, not giving up yet, but am pissed, very, very
pissed.

Cindi, do a chargeback. Call your credit card company and tell them what
happened and insist that the charges be reversed. It'll reflect poorly on the
merchant, too, bonus! Lots of people don't know how easy chargebacks are to
make.

bought with a cheap money order I purchased at a convience store here in
town. I know there's some recourse, but I just have to figure it out.
Following through with it is another thing, time, energy all that. I
continue to write them daily and leave messages on their every busy phone
line.
I wish I would have had a cc to pay for it, otherwise it would have been
done already. Credit card companies in my own personal experiences have
been good about resolving issues like this, but I don't have cc's anymore,
bad credit.
Thanks though.

Hmmm,do you have the money order receipt? I know once a money order I'd sent was
lost in the mail and it was replaced. Can you do a stop payment on a money
order? Damn.

How did you pay for the item? I would only use a credit card or PayPal
account to purchase off of Ebay. Then you have protection against
non-shipment or damaged goods.

I used money order. I don't have credit cards anymore and have had bad
experiences with pay pal so won't use them. Guess my options are few with
the method I paid with.
I still don't see how ebay just lets the seller slide and keeps them listed
as power sellers even though there's a good 5 percent of us that get stuck
with this crap from them.

Was is a USPS money order? If so you can file a claim with the USPS. I
believe that failure to make good on an order paid for with a USPS money
order falls under the wire fraud statutes.

it was a money order from a convience store here in town, can't beat 59 cent
money orders. However live and learn, guess they can't do much about a non
usps money order? Not sure.
live and learn, live and learn, hope they enjoy my money and I'm sure
getting a good laugh at my sake, add them to the list.

Phishing or genuine?
Is it possible for someone else to fake a bidders' identity? Can bids be
traced back to the originating IP number and time?

Sorry about what happened to you on ebay. There are some dishonest

it's all relative, when you're in a financial pit any amount seems like a
lot, especially from an unknown face behind the screen. It really wasn't
that much 40 bucks, but could have paid a bill with that. I guess I'm more
mad at ebay for continuing to allow these people to do this stuff.

I gave up on ebay years ago, after a modem with no drivers, and web-tv with
no keyboard ( both useless).

sorry to hear that packrat. i haven't been scammed yet, but i don't order
much of anything online (mainly Amazon). it must suck to save up some extra
money, make a splurge, and get scammed.

I should have known better by reading the few negative feedback, it was the
minority, but was bad those that did give bad feedback. will list the name
here rfjewelry, don't buy from the bastards. Was *treating* myself, won a
ring that was supposed to be ruby diamond and saphire earrings for total of
42.00, which I never should have done, should have paid an outstanding
medical bill with it, but thought, it was cheap and wtf? I should have paid
the bill instead, I'd feel better about myself and everything else.
I normally am on there looking for medical reference books or things that my
mom collects and bid for her, have bought 10 items and this is the first bad
experience. Like I said, i'm more upset with ebay than the actual seller,
strange?
how are you today? You're a sweetheart.
