do you have friends and/or family... |
who send you nothing but mass junk email? stuff that's just forwarded to
you? i get at least 10 a day from my sister-in-law, another 10 or so per
day from a friend, and another 4 or 5 from my dad. none of these people can
be bothered to actually COMPOSE an email of their own, but they sure as heck
can hit that "forward" button over and over and over and over!!!!

I have lots of family that i am completely distant from now. NOTHING
is good the way it was before. nothing is okay, and I am sad about it.
sure my family tries to contact me all the time, but i don't bother
to reply or talk to them, except on the most incredibly superficial
level possible. it's alot worse than i care to type about right now.
the things are at a sickening level, and ive given up any hope of
things ever getting better. i'm on okay terms with my dad, at least to
a degree. i mean, things are not rosey or great even with him. but the
rest of my family, ive counted them out.
i hope things are better with your family. it sucks to have an
awkward, miserable poisionous non-real, BS, worthless relationship with
people that you used to be close to.

I do have one relative who is prone to forwarding rubbish that has already
been forwarded so often that most of the message is lists of whom it has
been forwarded to and from. Usually turns out to be a 'joke' or a
'cartoon' or a 'thought for the day' (from months previously); sometimes
there isn't actually a message at all, which is worrying - I think those
are probably links buried in over-complex HTML, but I don't 'run' HTML for
emails. Most of my relatives don't seem to have discovered the forward
option ... yet ...

No. Too much forwarded stuff is a pain, worse
than no mail at all.
I send ppl stuff that I get from other sites/for{a,ums}
but on an individual basis. e.g. a quotation from
some humorous song about the Periodic Table with a link
to some animation.

i just love when they're about ten forwards deep, so it's nearly
impossible to read the original junk.
