does anyone knoe ***** long effexor withdrawal symptoms last for? |
please please please....has anyone been on effexor around the 3 year
period and gotten off sucessfully and have any idea how long until the
horrible withdrawal symptoms finally stop?? even more so, i am
wondering if i will ever have intrest in sex again. so is my fiance. i
hav read some forums on here, however they are out-dated and i would
really appericiate anyone who would take the time to throw me back some
info. fortunately, i am only have physical withdrawals...unless you
call the irritability, overreaction to situations and crying outbursts
emotional... however by emotional, i would think mopre along the lines
of the actul depression and anxiety coming back in full force. at the
time i finally got down to 75mg of effexor xr, i then took another 3
months to get completely weened of the medication. it has interrupted
my work, social, and love life.
any input??

I cannot tell you how long it takes for the physical withdrawal
symptoms of Effexor to stop. I am only on week 2 of withdrawing from
Effexor XR and I am sure feeling the withdrawal symptoms today -
headache, anxiety, over emotional, and just not feeling "right". I am
writing a blog on my experiences with Effexor withdrawal. It can be
found at http://www.mentalhealth101.net. I am hoping that someone out
their will find my blog helpful in some way, and that someday I can
write on my blog that I'm off Effexor and not experiencing any
withdrawal effects. Why do the drug companies create a drug with such
terrible withdrawal effects anyways? I have actually been on Effexor
since June/1997 (over 9 years!). I am going off the Effexor gradually
under the care of my family physician. I am now down to alternating 75
mg one day and 75 mg + 37.5 mg the next. I wish you the best of luck.
