Doom 3 weapons... |
x-no-archive: yes
They're a lot weaker than in the classic games.
That, or the monsters are tougher. A LOT tougher.

I've never understood why players expect to survive these games. It's
not very realistic, is it? It's like having a war without casualties.

It's (supposed to be) mostly mindless fun, something you do after work
for relax; the invincible hero is a cliche of most (all?) cultures
anyway -
I for example always wondered at the cowboys who killed 300 indians
(or other cowboys) with a six-shot revolver - and *without* reloading
it...

Have you considered the possibility that you have just become weary of war?
Maybe it's time to sit down with the monsters and get a dialog going.

That would make for a more grown-up game, though.

Possible. But once you have all the monsters seated at the table... blow
up the table!

That's what I said, a more interesting game. :)

It would be impossible to get them at the table seeing as how they only
show up directly behind you or jump from somewhere and land two feet in
front of you while you're stumbling around in near complete darkness.
Yea, it makes perfect sense that a daemon from another dimension would be
perfectly happy hanging out in that broom closet that's been conveniently
disguised as just another part of the wall.
I'm very disappointed in Doom 3... it's beautiful but the gameplay sucks.
....does the game get any better as it progresses?
I'll have to make my way through HL2 again.

and
now you go and speak of peaceful coexistence. I mean, you just took the
