Interestingly, I ate at a Greek restaurant once. Had the waiter
choose the meal for us. It was fantastic.

olives...ugh...it's the only food that I absolutly think is
terrible,that's I can't eat,any olives whatsoever...I've gotten open to
a much wider selection of food then I used to,I'm much less fussy in
that area,but I still think olives are inedible.

Never could figure out why people liked those green pimento-stuffed
Spanish olives. My brother-in-law shovels 'em down his gullet like
they're popcorn.
However, I really do like the dark Kalamata olives, which are sweet, not
bitter like the Spanish variety is. A friend of mine, who spent part of
his childhood in Kalamata, Greece, introduced my to their gustatory
wiles. Others who detest olives as I do also seem to enjoy them quite a
bit. (And when chopped they go great on pizza, I've discovered.)
