Dusk (update on my mother) |
The doctor told my parents today that my mother's cancer is of a very
aggressive sort. The kind roundly considered untreatable.
He gave her a prognosis of two months.
She won't live to see another spring.
Thank you all very much for your kindness, concern, sympathy and
prayers. Please keep her and our family in your hearts.

many blessings upon her, and yourself, as well
my mother died from cancer, too, it was very hard on me, so I definitely can
relate to prayer
i'm sorry i can't think of anything more supportive to write..........kinda
going thru my own ***** right now, just stupid hassles, really..........got
overwhelmed and I process stuff very slowly, especially if it's very
emotional.............takes me a good couple days or better when ***** hits
the fan
bla bla blab
again, many blessings to your mom as well as yourself
hang in there

I remember trying to talk my father into happiness, saying Spring will
be coming soon, it will get better. He died this past March, never saw
the Spring. It's a new experience to lose a parent. But my friend
told me years ago to try to only make good times, happy visits, no
matter what is going on (not denial, just no useless arguments) while
they are still here, because that's all I will want to remember. He
was right. Keep the faith, Nick.

couldn't agree more
that's what I did too and I'm glad I did it that way
I wouldn't allow myself to cry at all around her (although i did alot in
private) but she hung on with a positive outlook to the bitter end.........
all i could think to do was try to make whatever time she had left as
comfortable and caring as possible
i feel for you
what you are going through really is tough
