Object: ECG
My GP referred me to the cardiologist, who took my ECG and, after he'd
had a butcher's at it, lay me down and took my blood pressure. 110 over
60. I understand that that's rather good for someone my age. The ECG was
normal, too. So he didn't get around to mentioning my weight.
He did sort of mumble 'exercise' as I left, but I choose to believe he
didn't really mean it.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

I'm glad to hear you got a clean bill of health Alan.
It made me smile when you wrote that the cardiologist had a butcher's.
It's good to confuse the Americans sometimes :)
I grew up watching English comedies (The Goodies, Monty Python, Faulty
Towers etc) and my Dad was watching old episodes of Minder on DVD when I
was last at my parents place, so I can "translate" rhyming slang without
any problems. It's always good to confuse people with it though.

Maybe we should do it more often, after all, they're always using
American words and phrases that don't mean anything to me.

Good news, Alan. I variously get readings of prehypertensive or bang-
on normal so I don't know if it's fear of doctors, bad technique or
too much beer.

My GP sent me as my BP was wandering around all over the scale. The
cardiologist said almost all of the GP's reading weren't anything to
worry about anyway. Still, it's nice to get told you're okay, by the man
himself.
