Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... |
I took a nap today, and when I got up to go check on my daughter, she
had taken off her pants and diaper, and got poop all over the crib and
herself and her stuffed animals! Gross! Anyone know how to wash a
teddy bear? Can I just put it in a washing machine?

That's what I was afraid of. I might just try to get a rag and scrub it
out. It's white, so I might try to bleach it too.

if you do decide to throw it in the washer, you should put it inside a
pillow case so the eyes/etc. don't get broke or scratch the inside of your
washing machine

I wash my kid's stuffys. Just the other day she had a major poop blowout
got all over KeyCat. A little time in the washing machine does wonders.
I only give her stuffed animals which are machine washable.

It is par for the course. She got poop over everything. Floor, KeyCat, her
favorite Barney shirt. She wanted to take off her own diaper, so poop where
all over then she stepped in it. A fun time was had by all. Good luck
with your bear.

Well for starters that why god created Butt wipes (that's what I call
disposable wipes) clean up as best you can. Off course you done
something by now or things are going to be a bit crusty (now that's
ewwwwwwww) and then yes plop (pardon the pun) in the washer! My son had
horrible diarrhea from his heart medication and reflux Teddy and Bunny
spent more time swimming in the wash cycle then they did on the bed!

my kids' animals said to surface wash, but they went through my
gentle front loader with no problem after similar accidents. i
put them in the dryer, too, to fluff up again. i wouldn't use
bleach, as it can discolor some synthetics.
