excellent day as of now |
i woke up and was doing good, i weighed myself last night and i have now
lost 35 pounds, YES! i was on wretched abilify for about two years and it
really put on the poundage. i feel confident now that i will eventually lose
it all. at 2:00 i seen my pdoc and it went well. i told her i love the
Geodon i am on now despite a couple small side affects from it. my brain or
i should say my thoughts feel clearer now that i am on Geodon. on abilify my
thoughts sometimes felt washed together. cant explain it exactly but it is a
real difference for me.
so today so far is good all in all, just hope it continous that way!

excellent as far as i know, though truthfully lately i have been getting

congrats on the weight loss Erik!
and i went from not excercising to excercising to not yet again. for the
last two or so weeks i have had little ambition to do so, though i am
keeping my calorie intake to 1200 or right thereabouts everyday and i am
still losing. i have been on a 1200 calorie diet for 3 to 4 months i would
guess and i excercisied for a couple of months. i walked on a treadmill, and
did pilates plus a few other excercise videos but i havent felt up to it
lately. i would probably be losing more if i was excericising but thats ok
for now.
long answer for a short question, i know.

Excercising is not for me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy hiking in the
woods and swimming and all that, but doing a work out just bores me.
Maybe it was physics class that spoiled it for me - Work = force X
distance. If you run miles and miles and come back to where you
started, you did no work.

well they say that you should only do excercise that you do enjoy anyhow.
i HATE the treadmill so i cant bring myself to get back on it. hiking
through the woods sounds like fun but i cant bring myself to do that here
because there are snakes most of the year and i wouldnt want to get bitten.
and swimming is good excercise just like hiking is, so you could just do a
lot of those things instead of the boring stuff. i personally like pilates,
it is refreshing for me. i tried tae bo but goodness is it hard, woow.

I've been taking 60 mg. of Geodon after dinner a week now for BPII,
and I must say, it's been a wonderful week! I've felt vibrant,
confident, and insightful. I'm an experienced (20+ years) investment
advisor and my business relationships have been more focused and
productive. I'm very sensitive to loud noises, even music.
My pdoc prescribed Geodon because I was doing things like playing Age
of Mythology until 3am on a work night and having stupid sex on a
business trip. Also, I was having trouble sleeping and taking
Trazadone for my Wellbutrin insomnia.
MoparGuy1991Dec
Get off of that *****!!
Four days upon starting it, I started to feel good, so good. Just like
you!!!!
Over 2 weeks, I then I found that I was apparently on a Rocket to the
Moon, going to Hypomania. I felt Excitation and electrical surges
going thru me.
The mania really showed up..
doghappyJan 11 2006, 09:10 AM
It sounds to me as if you're a tad hypomanic still. Be sure to tell
your pdoc that you're only needing five hours of sleep - that's not
really "normal". That said, I take 80mg of Geodon and it has helped my
stability tremendously. I had a breakthrough mixed episode several
weeks ago and we up'd the Geodon and it worked really well.
doghappy
I have to share my experience again - it really helped stabilize me.
The only time I had trouble was when I stopped - mixed episodes out
the ying-yang (I stopped super-fast). JMHO.
rogerj1Mar 3 2006, 10:05 PM
OK, here it is 3 months later. I have an appointment with the pdoc
tomorrow and I'm bummed because I'm probably going to have to give up
on Geodon. I've had insomnia from the beginning and I also have had
problems with dizziness, especially when I'm tired. It's been a great
ride, increasing my productivity at work, but I'm afraid it's time to
look for something else.
DweiiMar 4 2006, 04:33 AM
I LOVE Geodon! My depression is gone, my mania is gone, my social
interest is back, I have more motivation and I even think it's helping
my ADHD a bit. I have more energy to do things. Also, no
hallucinations, as it was prescribed for. This might be my miracle
drug I've been looking for. I felt a tad bit hypomanic the first time
I took it, but not anymore

on Geodon. I've had insomnia from the beginning and I also have had
problems with dizziness, especially when I'm tired. It's been a great
ride, increasing my productivity at work, but I'm afraid it's time to
look for something else.

Geodon put me in a 72 hour hold
