Excuses to not drink |
I keep wanting to get vodka, and sure do know how to make all kinds of
excuses to avoid the vodka store. They probably wonder what happined to
me, since I usually get other supplies there, at least every 4 days,
since it is only a 3 block walk. I just know that the last 2 1/2 months
have been emotionally rough, and I am at high risk to drink too much if
I get it, thus all the excuses. It messes up my zyprexa anyway, and I
get too truthful and blunt with people if I drink when I feel this way.
So, "put it off" and "put it off" LOL

my shrink indicated that it's dangerous to drink and be on a high dose of
Zyprexa. my dose is a moderate 15 mg. i usually have 2 to 8 drinks over
the course of an evening, and stop. my peak of drinking was 5.5 drinks in
an hour, or 20 over a night, but i did that off pills.
i may drink two bottles of Korbel on New Years Eve. it didn't kill me in
2003 or 2004. i tend to skip my pills on drinking days.

Thanks for letting me know! I am on 20 mg per day.

I have many excuses not to drink.
1.) I hate the taste of anything with alcohal in it. beer is just
barely tolerable
2.) I hate the HARSH feeling of drinking, it tastes like vomit only
worse
3.) I hate the wooosy, dizzy, spinning feeling I get after I drink.
4.) I hate the smell of the stuff
5.) I hate my head spinning after I've had a few drinks
6.) I hate the thought of hurting my liver
7.) I hate the headache and nausia I get hours after the main effects
wear off.
I could think of others. I have a problem with drinking. not because I
drink, but because I don't like it.
If I need to feel numb, I will take xanax or vicodin. those go down
MUCH easier and have no unpleasant feelings or effects. i dont want
to be addicted to those things, but they do come in handy when im
feeling absolutely horrible.

with that said, I am NOT against others drinking, as long as they don't
hurt anyone in the process. I don't look down on people who drink. we
all need a way to numb the pain, anxiety, feelings, etc. I just use
other methods.
