extremely anxious |
My depression and hypomania is under control, but anxiety is still a big
problem.
I'm fed up with feeling anxious all the time. I've suffered from extreme
social phobia and borderline OCD for as long as I can remember. Some meds
have helped, but lately it's become worse because of changes prescribed by
my previous pdoc (the same one who made me extremely manic for a while not
too long ago).

Am glad that your depression and hypomaina is under control, perhaps you
should mention to your doctor about the anxiety, there might be something
you could take that would help. For example, a liquid or dissolvable
antipsychotic would help get into your blood stream more quickly, and would
help with the anxiety. They also have products such as Relora, which is an
herbal suppliment used to help reduce cortisole, which can reduce tension
and anxiety, and can be found in any health food store. Would suggest trying
to stay away from antianxiety medication, unless your doctor recommends it,
they often can be addictive. I take 10mgs Diazepam every day, but am working
on going off it.

I am taking antianxiety medication, but my previous pdoc cut the dose
drastically.

Maybe you could ask to cut down more gradually, that's what I've been doing.
Sometimes its frusterating though, for now I just take it as needed.

Doesn't sound like a good place to be. How is the new
pdoc?

It's too early to tell.
