Extremely disturbing dream (SPOILER: Violence) |
x-no-archive: yes
Extremely violent. I'd never, ever, dreamt anything even remotely
comparable.
I won't delve into a lot of detail. Suffice to say, I was at a sort
of reunion, there were people I was supposed to know, and all of a
sudden all hell gets loose, I go crazy and start killing people with
a large knife. Limbs flying, heads cut in pieces with brains all over
the place, that sort of thing.
I must be a lot sicker than I thought. And I'm totally serious about it.

I am sorry you had such a nightmare -- I had one once very similar to yours and
it was terrifying -- I don't know what these sort of things mean, but I KNOW it
is healthy to dump them in the dream mind and let them float in and out. I
believe it helps us retain sanity in waking hours.
Hope you sleep better.

Trishamolson <trishamolson@aol.com> consoled someone whose post never
showed up here:

I was plagued by several kinds of quite bad dreams or night states
or something for years. Some of them I am now convinced were
physiology based. There was one particular "dream" state that
threatened to "capture" me ... I even got to recognizing its
imminence when I was asleep... and asking (in my sleep) to be
rescued from it.
