Family bereavement SPOILER death, suicide |
Very bad news. Prayers and good vibes will be welcome, whether they are
mentioned here or not. Thank you.
I'll put in some 'spoiler space' here to help those who don't want the
ghastly details.

This morning, my brother-in-law hanged himself. Seems he was unable to
cope with the prospect of caring for his wife of more than 30 years as she
struggles with chemo-therapy in a fight against inoperable bowel cancer.
They have no children.
Of course his actions do nothing to help my poor sister, or any of the rest
of us. I am in poor health, our mother is frail, our father is recovering
from major heart surgery, and our step-mother is only just holding on to
reality, and we are all seperated by hundreds of miles (which is more
significant here in Britain than in say north America, I gather). Our
youngest sister has dropped everything, picked up her boy from school, and
is dashing to her sister's side as I write.
Just when you think it can't get any worse ...

Am sorry to hear about the news, but it was well worded. A death in the
family can cause situational depression. Maybe its time to visit your
psychiatrist. I hope his family is doing alright.

He has a cousin, whom I've never met but who has been helping with driving
etc since my sister became to ill to drive.
I'm already being treated for Depression. I probably qualify as an
'oldbie' here in ASD, although I haven't posted much here recently.

Was thinking about you this morning. I've been sitting here for quite
some time trying to think if there's anything I can say that might
help....I don't think there is. I'll just say hang in there and yes,
keep breathing.

I am so incredibly sorry! In case you didn't know, my brother was
murdered last month....not a suicide,
I'm very sad to hear that. Such things take a lot of coping with, don't
they :(((
I'm so sorry your family has to
deal with that on top of the loss.
Thank you.
You might want to join the grief
group here....it's been helpful to me as well. I wish I knew what to
say except that I'm here for you if you want, you can email me too if
you want. I'll be thinking about you and your family. Huggsss...

One step at a time; keep breathing.

Thank you for thinking of us.

It is not good when someone you know wants "outa here"
however it's their choice - and they have to make provision
for others and family when they do it. I will one day, however
get it right so others are happy, not sad.

I think you should know that that is impossible.
Thank you for responding.

I am so sorry that you have to endure this double blow.
I have a little first-hand knowledge of the pain your family is going through
right now, so I'm thinking loving, healing, strengthening thoughts at you and
all your whiskery relatives.
I love you, dear friend.
