these days AND talk about it in front of their parents???

Or is this a Kentucky thing?

My brothers wife introduced us to a family that just moved to Texas
from Kentucky. They had met them at Pizza Hut. We all sat together
watching our towns firework display on the 4th. Our 13 year old
daughter got to talking with their 12 year old daughter. Turns out
they will both be going to the same school this fall. They exchanged
phone numbers and have talked a couple of times. We (my wife and I)
are not sure if we want our daughter to really be friends with the
other girl. The other girl freely (within earshot of us and her parents)
was telling our daughter about skinny dipping with some boys.

I'm certainly not a prude, but do kids this young go skinny dipping
these days AND talk about it in front of their parents???

Or is this a Kentucky thing?
