Former Yankees HOF shortstop and announcer Phil Rizzuto has died, at age
90. He started with the Pinstripes in 1941, eventually earning his way
into the leadoff hitter position. In his later years he became famous as
one of the announcers of the NY Yankess game broadcasts, along with Mel
Allen and Red Barber. That was him on Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the
Dashboard Lights" doing his play-by-play routine.
