Object: Fathers of offspring with severe mental illness
Hello, everyone,
This is a study of fathers of offspring who have severe mental illness.
If you are a father, and have offspring with severe mental illness
(regardless
of age),
please take a 30-minute Web survey at http://128.83.80.200/king
There is certainly no cost for participation and your responses will be
strictly
CONFIDENTIAL.
We know that there is much to learn about how fathers provide care for their
offspring with mental illness. The majority of mental health research has
been
done on the caregiving role of mothers. Often, fathers have been overlooked,
and the contribution that fathers make in caring for their children are not
acknowledged.
Your answers will provide valuable information about how fathers experience
their caregiving roles, and what factors are related to active paternal
involvement in caregiving.
Please help us to improve mental health services for families that have a
member with mental illness in the future.
This study is sponsored by the Hogg Foundation of Mental Health.

Define 'severe'. He's an in-patient, does that count?

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?
