Favorite Newspaper Comics |
Boondocks, by Aaron McGruder. After that, Get Fluffy and Opus.
There's one called Pearls Before Swine that is sometimes funny, too.
You?

Opus. Definitely, unquestionably, inconvertibly Opus.
I still miss Bloomcounty.

Me too! I loved those wheelchair races with everybody sitting on Steve's
lap.
I liked the kid with the grandfather, too. They seemed to have disappeared
when Opus caught on.

A couple more Bloom County fans!
I have even looked in used book stores for
some of the books. I found the one called
Penquin Dreams and Other Strange Things.
Glad I bought it even if it does smell like someone
spilled a bottle of bad perfume on it.
I still have an Opus stuffed animal I bought.
My favorite these days is Get Fuzzy.

Though it doesn't run in the corporate media, so far as I'm aware, I
much appreciate This Modern World, with Tom Tomorrow. Dilbert too,
though I'm inclined to think it actually reconciles people to injustice
rather than challenging it.
