Feel Bad in the Morning - Feel Good in the Evening |
Does anyone here feel bad every morning but feel good (or much better)
at night? In the morning how do you feel? Do you feel tired and
drained and often go back to bed immediately to a few hours after you
awaken? Do you think this might be all caused by real or perceived
things in your life you want to avoid? Do you think you feel better at
night because your safe and don't have to deal with anything? Or do
you think it's totally physical? If so do you know what this condition
is?

It's really hard to say...I used to get into what I call
"nighttime thinking" sometimes.(I've heard other people talk about
this "3 A.M." type of thinking as well...)This doesn't seem to happen
as much anymore,unless I'm really,really tired,really drunk,or wake up
after very bad dreams...Now I think the morning is often the
hardest.then late morning is better.then late afternoon is worse, night
is better...but I guess it really depends on the situation...

Bad mornings are very common in depression. Very very common.
I've heard several explanations. I like the biochemical type of
theory best (can't give details sorry) Wish I had more info for
you.

That's the normal pattern of depression. Those of us with atypical
depression tend to feel better in the morning.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

Thats always been the case with me and it's got to do with genes, We dont
feel releaxed in the morning becuase your mind is not functioning as it
should, at night our brains are fully stimulated becuase it had alot of
time to actually get blood flow, check to see if you have breathing
problems if you are a shallow brather you may not allow alot of bloodflow
into your brain causing it too go into a deep sleep for a long period of
time when we wake up, we wake from a deep sleep and feel depressd and lazy
through out the day. my suggestion is to make sure you have a window open
and you are getting enough oxygen, when you go to sleep set your alarm to
radio and play it if u cant sleep set it to turn on at an hour or too
before you go to bed this will keep you break from a phase of sleep, your
mind still heres the music thus making the brain work while we sleep,
I hope this helps

This is interesting. Is there any medical/scientific background to this?
