Feel like I'm sinking |
I am just a wreck today. I'm confused and down and anxious and jumpy
all at the same time. There are a few reasons why this could be - we
(Dr and I) recently briefly tried a couple of different medications as
(in prior post) he thought we should try something new, but I am
sticking to the "old" regimen. I also think maybe the changing season
(feels like autumn) and other life stresses are playing a part and the
combo has just knocked me on my *****.
Don't know if I'm asking for advice or just need to share this with
someone. People in Real Life would just think I'm crazy so I'm limited
in who I can vent to. I never happen to have a Dr's appointment when
I'm like this - even if I did I'd probably cancel because I am NOT
LEAVING THE HOUSE.
Hopefully this is a temporary setback. Crap.

i don't have much advice. i guess all you can do is wait. do
you usually feel worse in the fall? if so, you might want to
try an SAD light box.
for what it's worth, i think i know what you're going through,
having been on the med carousel too many times. maybe it's
just reacting to the changes in regimens that's doing it. i've
been leaving the house as infrequently as possible for the
past couple of weeks, myself, as we're trying to get my meds
squared away.
i hope this doesn't last too long for you.

Thanks, Lisa. I do have a SAD light and I've been using it for a week
already. I usually do feel "off" in the fall, so I try to head it off
with the SAD light and extra attention to my moods and so on.
I just wrote today off as a loss, and will try again tomorrow to get
myself together.

People don't think you're crazy, they just don't believe you.

Do you mean, they would think I'm making up my feelings?

Yep. I don't believe that by the way... But I'm aware that people
think we all experience the same thing at the same time, when we don't...
