feeling bad |
all around bad. some of it's mood, some is physical. much of it
is due to the med taper. tomorrow's my last dose, a single pill
down from twelve. my head feels like it's in a metal bowl that's
been struck, reverberating pressure through it in waves. my ears
are playing tricks on me, too. i'm slightly dizzy and shaky. i'm
not sure if the vague nausea's from the taper or the mood, which
is about as far down as it gets.
blech.
i guess i'd better make a phone call. otherwise i might pick the
wrong method for getting to sleep tonight. nothing permanent,
but the therps wouldn't be pleased.

I tried going cold turkey off of the lexapro. big mistake.
even when i tried to taper slowly, i could not get past the last 5mg, or
maybe it was 2.5 mg
without getting the nasty side-effects / withdrawal.
hope you make it through ok and feel better.

it sure seems like they tapered you off quickly. wow.
i had to stop it cold turkey once in order to have some surgery done, and i
remember feeling like i had the flu for several days.

Maybe you should do more adjusting in medication, sometimes it takes
careful management by the right person.

i'm getting good management. i have to wait 2 weeks for this
medication to wash out of my system before i can take
something else. that's the hard part, since there's not much
they can do for the side-effects from tapering off. the other
meds i'm on are doing exactly what they ought to.
thanks david.
