It bites, and it sucks.
One has to wonder if it also sometimes licks. I know mine doesn't.

According to all the self-help stuff, we're supposed to lick depression.
Also chew it up and spit it out. I think these authors have an oral
fixation.

That would seem the prudent way to get it out of your system, given the

Can't - it's merely a by-product of denting and constricting. *sigh*

It certainly is no fun. We once had to bundle a friend straight from a
West End theatre into a taxi and then to the nearest A&E, because he
found his inhaler to be empty. He spent several days in an oxygen tent.
I suppose he had a panic attack that turned into an asthma attack.

In a theatre there are plenty of physical 'triggers'; peoples' perfume and
aftershave for a start, then the dust, and cleaning chemicals, and wet
paint, and "air fresheners" (which ought to be banned), and who-knows-what
from the ventilation or air-conditioning systems. And if you get there by
public transport ...
A woman I used to work with had to change her perfume after putting me in
an ambulance twice, just by wafting past me.

Big perfume counters make my chest tighten, and I don't have asthma. I
don't like smellies.

Thanks. I should have increased the dose of the steroid inhaler as soon
as I noticed that my asthma was getting worse, but I neglected to do so
until the coughing and wheezing became really bad.
I'm starting to feel better today though.
