finally got a dr to help me!!!!!! |
have a workers comp case, my neurologist retired several yrs ago he was
aggressive treating my pain....I have seen 4 other drs since, all 4
said I was on too many meds and one even said I don't any reason for to
be in pain WTF...I have long well documented medical history
wrote to my family Dr (he's new, only been with him a few months) told
him about the pain, it's getting much worse and how much it interferes
with daily functioning
I didn't have much hope
get a call from his office, has an appt. for me in 2 days....tells me
there's no problem with the meds I'm on (so those doctors were lying!)
asks what meds worked in past...he believed me, took me seriously...was
real close to crying its been such a long battle
I'm on MS Contin and Valium and he didn't start with the lowest doses,
explained all abt the drugs and using a drug holiday....I thanked and
thanked him
still have pain, he did tell me can take 3 - 5 days for full effect
said we needed a balance of keeping me functional on meds and making
the pain mangeable....OMG I think I love him, all this from a family
doctor!

I believe this. Here's to his treatment and your improvement.

It's entirely possible to get better results from a FP/GP. One
doctor I picked at random from an insurance list for a second
opinion was very good.

congrats on your great doc!
my family doc has also been my savior. he's never allowed to
retire.
