Object: Finding more work
I hope at some point that I'll be able to find more paid work...I
haven't had much luck in that area.It does feel good to have more
volunteer work,to have a lot of financial support,to not have to pay
rent or bills and to do fun things a lot,but still,I think it would be
nice to have at least a little more paid work.10 hours a week doesn't
seem like enough to me.Hopefully, though,my volunteer work will
continue to work out well...
Another thing I'm working on is letting go of EVENTS...I tend to
see things (paticularly when I'm feel increasingly anxious)in terms of
actions,interactions,events,symbolism...what I'm working on is just
seeing things in terms of MOMENTS...I love when I can be more light
and low key, have more of a sense of perspective, proportion, context and
humor.It's always fun to laugh...

How can you use the hope to motivate action?

Hopefully, though,my volunteer work will continue to work out well...

Could you just do more volunteer work? Does work have to be paid to be
worthwhile? Do you need the money or just the work?

How do you do that?

What makes those moments?

No,I just need more work,Volunteer work is important,I know that.I
was skimmiing through a book a while ago that said that many people
look down on volunteer work for various reasons.I thought that was
very sad.But deep down,I know that it's a valuable thing to do.

I don't know,it's hard.My reading helps.trying to calm my mind
helps, trying to have as much perspective, proportion, context and humour
as possible also helps...I know that you've recommended meditaion in
the past.I should do that more...

What makes those moments?

It seems to come in cycles...I've always had a sense of
humour, and have always been able to see the weirdness and absurdity of
life, well not always, but often.othertimes that side of me gets
hidden.sometimes I can laugh a lot,and other times,not.I do notice
that paticularly after major events, where a lot of supressed emotion
is involved,I tend to laugh a lot...I think my body just really needs
the release...

What people look down on is really their problem, so being sad for that
is probably the best response.
What can you imagine that you would really like to do for more
volunteer work? I guess I don't mean what work exactly, but more
like what result would you like?

It does calm the mind, the right kind. There's kinds that don't too.
The calming kinds are like the ones from this page:

It seems to come in cycles...I've always had a sense of
humour, and have always been able to see the weirdness and absurdity of

Do you do exercise stuff or walk a lot?
I moved and had to walk more and that seems to make a difference. If I
don't walk much for a few days, I seem to get more tired or don't get as
much energy from food and sleep. Not that I get much anyway, but if I
don't move much I end-up with less energy, even sleepy.
