i actually haven't tried aspirin for it. the first problem i
see is needing to take it 5 or 6 times a day. until now, the
naproxen was great. take one twice a day and i'd be all set.
worked great, too. damn.
the psychiatrist at partial didn't like me taking so much
narcotic because it can exacerbate depression. now i'll be
increasing those...

no, but i'm already on narcotics. looks like we'll have to
increase them. the naproxen helped keep down the
inflammation, but it still hurt like hell til we added the
duragesic (fentanyl patch). now we'll up the duragesic or
something until it doesn't hurt to move again.

well, if you do try aspirin, look into "enteric coated". I found an
article about dogs' hip pain that discussed such things. Apparently,
IIUC, enteric coated doesn't dissolve until it's in the small
intestines, thus avoiding stomach bleeding. (don't know if it causes
intestinal bleeding though).

You'll still be suscetible to the blood thinning effects. I get bigger

hey lisa, just following some of the posts here, I hope it isn't too
bad tonight. Aspirin would be good. There are also some suppliements
that can be used that may help in the longer term, Iron, potassium,
folic acid, and vitamin c.

I remember when I was taking lots of aspirin for (probable) RA
and I couldn't let the bottle out of my sight.

What's are you currently taking in all. I took DLPA for a while,
its OTC (or was, back then) But it definitely should not be
taken concurrently with MAOIs. Alas its not something that
is "stocked" in many doctors' minds.
