Well, I've completed my first week at my new job and it went well. It was
slow until today. They sent me over 300 pages of policy and procedure
documents to review and learn and that kept me busy for almost all of the
day. I still have a couple more documents to go.
My week long "orientation class" in Dallas has been delayed a bit, perhaps
to the end of the month. There might be another shorter trip earlier than
that.
So far so good.

Absolutely. Apparently the guy I'm dealing with so far is very in to
polices and procedures so I'll have to wade through those before I can get
to the next level.
All in all a better first week than I was expecting.
We did get one setback today. One of the other people we were trying to
hire decided not to join us to. He had already taken a position with
another company. It's a big loss but one I think we can recover from.
