flossy-nossy-ni-hil-i-pi-li-fi-ca-tion << and now I've screwed up my
ability to spell the silly thing for life.

floxy nawssinny hilly pilly ficayshon (emphasis on the ..ay..) surely?
In English, we would spell it with ph at the beginning - but we'd /say/
'denigration' or 'disparagement' or 'derogation' or 'detraction' or
'ridicule' or 'belittling' or 'traduction' or 'decrying' or ... . Or of
course, 'trivialising'. Possibly all at once if particularly
vituperative.
(My spelling checker choked on ph and traduction. As one would, I
suppose). (It also choked on flocci...).
