For Flying *****'s Sake.. |

having applied for this fucking family income supplement thingy, like 2
months ago now.. ..it was finally supposed to be going through at the end of
*this* month.. ..their ***** office decided to mail me something out to
sign, that was suppose to magically be remailed back due a day past when I
recieved it!
So NOW, I have to wait *another* fucking month to get something they know
damn well I am eligable for.. .in fact, I am eligable for it for the past 3
months, and will (supposedly) recieve a lump sum next motnh.. ...but I don't
fucking *need* it fucking next month, I need (and have been expecting) some
of it right fucking NOW!!!

thanks lisa.. ..I've taken a few breaths now.. ..and am considering calling
back..
yeah it's in another city.. ..and I had just gotten off the phone when I
posted.. ..when the woman first told me (over the phone) that I couldn't
recieve it, I was so dumbfounded and flustered, that I just said, "what? but
I've been expecting it, and was already told it would go through", (which I
was by another of the staff, and it's $300 that's going to make a difference
this month).. ..and she so sweetly pointed out to me that I needn't worry,
because it's not that I wouldn't be recieving it.. ..she explained it quite
soothingly and patronizingly, "you'll just have to wait another month". I
gave a longish moment of silence, (while thinking through things I couldn't
say), and she just kinda let me go during this fragile moment..
my portable phone was very close to it's first flight..
...I think I'm ready to try again, hopefully I'll get someone else..

Yea, it's almost like the system for helping people is designed not to
help them.
The system for punishing and fining them is really efficient though.
I doubt they'll take a lesson from the other guys and make it quick to
assist you - because then *everybody* who needs help would get it and
that's just gonna lead to America falling apart!
Unfortunately getting upset is what happens to you but if you express
that to them or point out something stupid...that's just gonna screw you
over more. So you wind up having to hold your frustration in until you
get home - but even then "what ya gonna do?"

another thing this not-so-inept "Specialist" enlightened me to: even if
they *hadn't* recieved my signed bank info by the end of the month, it would
have only taken a week *afterward* to sort that out and get me my
supplement. So the "waiting-another-month" thing was just something pulled
out of the air by her malefficient understudy. ..
argh.. ..but at least that's all cleared up..
life returns to normal.. ..and a little boring..

I have not. I've been lurking for a few weeks, made my first few posts
under the name "Bob" (which is my real name) and then a couple under
"Greg Maddux". They were a disaster and I wanted to start fresh so
went with "Bacon". If you want to know more, go to myspace.com and
search for me via my email address, rbkfour at yahoo dot com (I know,
myspace is cheesy, but I'm working on getting several of my cousins set
up so we can keep in touch). I'm not some anonymous freak that likes
to mess with people in newsgroups, especially one about depression,
from which I've suffered my whole life.
