Sin embargo dijo la luna

Ya se que tengo la cara
quemada del sol
y el trasero siempre frio
Poro figuro, amigo
si tuviera la cara
en el oscuro bolsillo eterno
y el culo en al airo
en vista de todo el mundo

Good! :D (couple minor mispellings)
In fact I like it so much that I'm including an English translation
below:
Nevertheless said the moon
I enjoy life
I know my face is
sunburnt
and my backside always cold
But just imagine, friend,
if I had my face
in the dark eternal pocket
and my bum in the open
in everybody's sight

Almost exactly what R de T gave as the translation.

Correct me if I'm wrong: the original was in English, right?

I don't think so. Spanish was one of his first languages; I
copied it as it is in the book (except for typos it seems)
The verse was written before 1997, well before 1958.
This is the collected de Toledano - Chambers letters. Both
very literary ppl, and Chambers (Whittaker) was studying
Spanish. Quotes in vs. languages appear throughout.
