I have mixed feelings about drugs. I think modern psychiatry focuses
too much on meds, and too little on other things. One of the networks
(CBS?) had a news segment over the weekend about psychoses. Apparently
most mentally ill persons don't have a good diet or exercise regimen.
That said, Zyprexa makes it easier to go about daily activities.

My impression on this is that most p-drugs are being prescribed by doctors
other than p-docs. In other words, people are "going to a pediatrist for
brain surgery" and the pediatrist is claiming to be a competent brain
surgeon. Yeah, right.
I do agree that drugs can be only one part of a treatment program. The b.s.
about "take an aspirin and call me in the morning" is a line that at best
makes good fertilizer but not much else.
