no one visited her.
I know because I asked.
If she wakes up when you're laying her down, she cries.
When she wakes up at night-time and in the morning, she cries.
I think it's because some part of her thinks you're leaving her, or that
she'll wake up alone.
Because she's a happy child. In the morning, when she's fully come to, no
one could be happier than she.
It's grit in her, those two years. I wonder what will take shape around it?
I'll take responsibility for that. As much as anyone can for someone else,
anyhow.

She's a very lucky girl.

a little fish tank in a child's room makes a great night light. plus the
little fish as a "sentinel."
