found an apartment |
get to move in somewhere between 2 to 3 weeks, get to keep my dog without a
problem too. It is a little higher than I wanted and could pay, but
anything cheaper would be a)not in a safe neighborhood b)pay out the back
end in utilities due to being old and poorly insolated c) was considering a
2 bedroom and craming in, but then would have to rent a storage unit as
well, so why not put that money into rent and have the 3rd bathroom. It has
3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, Never had 3 bathrooms, even when had a family of
6 we shared one bathroom. I have a garage with an opener and a dishwasher
along with hookups for my washer and dryer. It's in a neighborhood that has
lots of rentals and seems a bit noisy. Never the less it will be a place
of our own. It's in the same school district that my kids were already in
and is a mile or 2 from my parents house, so will be convient for them to
help out. Also a mile from the school. Other bad part is not much of yard,
but can deal with that. The kids will miss that part more than I will. It's
been years since I've lived in a place that's full of rentals so will have
an adjustment period I'm sure. It's a 4 plex. Oh and also have a walk in
closet which I'm thrilled about and there are 3 small storage closets as
well.
They repaint and deep clean the carpets between tenents so will have freshly
painted walls.
Nervous about having to pay full housing bills again, real nervous. Also
agreed upon an 8 month lease instead of a 12 month lease in case by summer
situations change.
So ready for my own place and being able to put things away and unpack our
stuff. To live a more normal life.

This is the best news I could have read! I'm SO happy for you and the kids.
The sense of getting back to a more normal situation and your own routine
will make all the difference. Not the answer to everything at once, but a
damn good place to start. Eventually you'll get there. Good for you for
hanging in there. I know how difficult it has been for you, but you did it!
You're a great mom and a strong woman. You get to feel really proud of
yourself for this one. :)

Hi packrat,
Am glad you found a nice place. I hadn't realized you have adhd, maybe
some of the concerns you're having about living with your parents could
be apart of that. I wonder if it might be better to wait until you're
on some good meds and feeling stabalized.
I understand the need for having your own place though, I recently
moved to a nice community, but just have enough to cover bills, food
and rent and nothing much else. Before I made the decision I made a
list of what all my expenses would be, as well as what my income was,
listed pro's and cons, etc.
It sounds like you have a nice apartment, I hope it goes well.

Put it up on Ebay, unopened. It must be stuff you don't use every

I've been going through my boxes, slowly. I've found that most of my
stuff was labled "micelanea", "Stuff," or "Mixed stuff." Helpful,
that.
lol.
i still have one freakin box that's been sitting here for EIGHT YEARS not
unloaded. how crazy is that?
Put it up on Ebay, unopened. It must be stuff you don't use every
day, someone would bid on it.

sure, come on over in a couple of weeks
sorry, was real excited last night and after work today am not so much.
Went really bad. I made a big error too and co-workers are very quick to
make it even worse, where as I've seen them cover for others I know I
fucked up big time, but don't need to be treated like this nad talked about
like this. Not to mention I think I'm getting set up for a firing. Not
great when I have a new apartment. Like a gang of wolves waiting and taking
notes of everything I do wrong. Do I do that to them? No. My sanity what
was left is almost gone.
again.
Sorry to be so down, again, was supposed to be a happy post. Can't pay for
it if i get fired.
