Found myself ... |
In a good mood for a change.
I've got a 200 volt DC motor I want to use for
some stuff.
Scratching head wondering where I exactly
find 200 volts of DC.
I've got a step down transformer from 240V to 120V,
with a USA style outlet. It's good for 500 watts.
OK, cut IEC connector of end of a USA power cord,
go to electronics shop, buy bridge rectifier, capacitor,
diode (to prevent reverse spikes), solder together. All
runs like a charm, only now need to insulate some
wiring and get correct pully and drive belt.
Yeah, 120 AC does not translate to 200 DC
exactly, however it's close enough. 170 volts.
So, I did something usefull today at least.

I would wouldn't be dumb enough to put all that together, however, I did
once desire a TV in my van, and I didn't have one. I am happy to see that
you're up to something.
