I need some funny DVD movie selections. I don't mind if they're old.
Tonight my hubby and I are going to see the new year in laughing our
arse's off (hopefully).
So... what do you suggest eh?

South Park: The Movie made me laugh my ***** off, but it's not for the faint
of heart -- it's very irreverent, in very poor taste, and I'm not sure if it
would be as funny to non-Americans (or maybe it would be funnier, since a
lot of American oxen are gored).

Coincidently, South Park Bigger Longer Uncut is on tommorrow night! I'll
be watching it. They don't carry it at Blockbuster here. I wonder if
they do elsewhere or is it just Utah (which is usually the case)

Unrelated, but I like the way they portrayed Utah in SLC Punk, but they
could have shown more.
Such as the giant "REAL MEN DON'T NEED PORNOGRAPHY" sign that's on the
side of the interstate as you cross the border.
It also features what looks to be a stock photo of the Village People.

Anything of the stand-up comedy routines by Richard Pryor made me
scream with laughter; on a much less vulgar wavelength, most of the
classic Marx Brothers movies were good, as were the vintage Three
Stooges (the ones with Curly Joe in them). I also find Woody Allen
quite amusing (and often also touching and thoughtful--like Manhattan).

If you want some dark humor and are willing to read subtitles (or can
understand French) rent "Man Bites Dog"....or poorly translated from the
original title of "C'est arrivé près de chez vous"
