AOL is bad news. my stupid brother signed up for AOL back in 2000 or 2001
when we already had a FREE dialup ISP (Netzero or one of the others)
....the AOL was $29.99 /mo after a free trial IIRC. but since he kept using
it, AOL kept charging the CC. it was a total friggin PAIN to get them to
stop.
AOL is the ultimate ripoff :/

All you generally have to do, is to call or email them. In my past,
ISP's have been more then willing to help, although sometimes it may
take one or two extra tries. There might be an option somewhere to
cancel the account in the aol software.

Call them and demand a refund - failing that, call Visa and get a

I agree--call your credit-card company and tell them that you canceled
the service four months ago, and to please reject all charges from AOL
since then.

If you don't have a lot of stuff automatically billed, have visa give
you a new number. You keep the same account, but anything billed to
the old number gets bounced. I've had to do it a few times.

Call Visa Jane, forget AOL, charge back every month that they've done
this - if it's YOUR card and it's being used on someone else's account
and they won't let you stop payments on it? There's something wrong
with that picture. Visa will do it with minimal hassle.
