Object: has anyone else noticed this?
I have noticed that when I talk to someone at an office or any type of
buissness,to set up an appoitment or whatever,at least 90% to 95% of
the time the person I'm talking to is talking very fast, and even
moreso, sais "good bye" very fast...I get the feeling that they don't
want to waste one second of their work time for whatever reason...does
anyone else notice this?I used to take it a little personally, and
think it was me,but because I've observed so many people doing this,it
can't be just me.Is it a reflection of how fast paced and impersonal
the world is becoming,do you think?that's the thought that occurs to
me.maybe it's always been this way though,I don't know.

I've noticed, and I do it myself.
When it comes to business, I'm all business. Usually can't take a whole lot
of time for small talk or lengthy conversations, because I'll start
forgetting the other 200 business related things I'm trying to remember and
get done.
So, it has nothing to do with the other person, and everything to do with me
being on a path of trying to get something done as efficiently as possible.
A lot of times, I tell people, let's get together later (after work) and
chat, I really have to run now.

It's better than in my part of the world where each time you buy
someting they think they are doing you a favor! and people, because
the weather, is very cold and it looks like they are working for
free...

ironic...90 to 95% of those taking calls are women. They're probably
on the other line with their boyfriend(s) or mother and want to get
back to justifying only making 70 to the dollar.

Well, if 90 to 95% of those taking calls are women taking calls from their
boyfriends, then there are just as many men calling out.
Duh!
Could at least come up with a statement that doesn't defeat the point you're
trying to make???

....that phone *is* her work....while she's talking to the bf, that
automatically rules out the phone being used to be productive...it's
inherent. Now, the bf has a 90-95% probability that he's *not* using
the phone for his work cuz like I said, call taking jobs are 90-95%
feminine vocations. Therefore, he is doing something on the desk or
in the field *while* he's talking to her. He's doing his job at the
same time. Her job is using that phone. Her job is on hold while
she's on that phone. Do the math.
