done something differently, changed something, or changed your opinion
because of a post you read here?
I know I have, several things actually. The one that comes to mind
atm is being encouraged to go back to therapy, and the thread where I
asked what to look for in a therapist helped me so much.

Lots of posts here and advice I've received gave me strength to do things I
probably would have never done. I this place gave me thicker skin, and I've
learned to not be ashamed of my depression. I've met some incredibly strong
successful people here too, which is encouraging.

Not so much about advice here, but definitely about people here. People who
may have come across one way at first, or vice versa, someone that may have
seemed problematic at first, and given a second chance, some time, and some
understanding on both our parts and they have turned out to be wonderful
people I would have missed out on knowing had I not done something
differently. I like when that happens.

In a way, yeah.
More than not, this NG has helped me to understand myself
better - doesn't mean I'll go see a doc, but better put
me back into my 2nd (real life) personality that I have
to display to people in real life situations. I'm getting
a bit more comfortable with doing that now. Earlier
this year ... nup.

Yes, Nothing specific comes to mind; it's still early.

I think I've changed significantly since starting to post here over a
year ago; this group & others, has definately helped me with that
change & still provides an opportunity for me to gain self-knowledge.
I don't think I could have changed without being prepared to be open
to the negative as well as positives I've been given & to at least be
prepared to take onboard other's criicisms of me. Now I'm still
gaining, by being able to completely ignore emotional hooks. % has
helped me, maybe not intentionally lol, but he has nonetheless. Luna
also helped me greatly when I was first here, we had a big argument,
which I realised, only on re-reading later, was due to me being a
complete *****. The knowledge that I had felt completely in the right
whilst posting but realsied how wrong I was on re-reading, helped me
wake up to a few unpleasant facts about myself, change isn't easy but
IMO it's worth it :)
Hope you havce a good day,
Chrissy
