just don't sit on any furniture in my house. The long undercoat
of my cooncats is everywhere, and seems to be a uniform pale
grey- good for showing on almost any clothing.

White garments attract black cats.
I think it's blue garments that attract orange cats.
Gray cats are all-purpose hair depositors.

I have a white border collie... everything i own that's black or dark right now
seems to be covered in four to five inch long white hair...
how come my brown border collie doesn't shed like his sister? is it a cruel
joke of nature that white dogs shed more than their darker relatives?

exactly. my brown dog shed out briefly but the white one has been at it for
about forever. My car interior has a coat. I vacuum my car out but I always
have to put the dogs back in and the coat always shows up again. I even tried
to vacuum the dog. I've even considered shaving her and buying her a sweater.

I think it's a rule - white pets shed more than dark ones. It's lucky
for Marty that his millipede is dark.

Nelly sheds fleeces, so I get white hairs on everything, but especially
my bottom.
