If I remember correctly he's a runner. Did it have to do with something
that took place today between Folsom and Sacramento?

Yes it did. :-)
I was scared crapless it was going to rain today. It couldn't have a
more perfect day, it was just beautiful. The last 6 miles were sheer
hell, I pretty much closed my eyes and dissociated until I got to the
finish line. But by God I finished. Once I crossed mile 20, I had no
clue what to expect.

Thanks Missy. It's still sunny out right now, I'm glad they got that
one wrong. Yes, it's too long. My first full week of running back in
May, I put in 19 miles. What's crazy is when you hit mile 23, and you
still have over 3 miles to go. I was seriously dissociating at that
point. Wouldn't have finished without all those other runners around me.

Anything that works the legs is pretty much what you need. I'm heading off
for Christmas so I'll get several days on the slopes.
By the end I'll be getting smoked by the kiddies on the bunny hill I

The book is horribly wrong. You must do a little bit
of something to help your muscles recover. That something
does not necessarily have to be running, and it definitely
should not be fast running, but it also definitely
should not be nothing.

more perfect day, it was just beautiful. The last 6 miles were sheer
hell, I pretty much closed my eyes and dissociated until I got to the
finish line. But by God I finished. Once I crossed mile 20, I had
no
clue what to expect.
Great news Thor!Congradulations!!!
ps...This is a new Google way of posting.

(but he hasn't posted it yet, so I'll only leave this teaser here,
in
case he wants to post it himself)
If I remember correctly he's a runner. Did it have to do with
something
that took place today between Folsom and Sacramento?

Yes it did. :-)
I was scared crapless it was going to rain today. It couldn't have a
more perfect day, it was just beautiful. The last 6 miles were sheer
hell, I pretty much closed my eyes and dissociated until I got to the
finish line. But by God I finished. Once I crossed mile 20, I had

and dammit, he ran faster than we expected and so we didn't get to
watch him cross the finish line!!!!! He was done a full hour before
we even got there. The crumb.
)But tonight, the way he's been walking, I know he finally understands
how I've been feeling every day for 2 years)

I expect they'll forgive you soon. The achievement will last a lot longer
