he said the magic word again |
'ect' just for a small series, he said. last time i ok'd a
series, it ended up being 9-10 day maintenance that blasted my
brain. 2 yrs later, i still haven't fully recovered.
i told him no again, but he's been bringing it up more and more
often. i told him i'll let him know when i'd consider ect again,
but it's certainly not now. i didn't tell him that i might be so
out of my mind at that point that i might agree to anything he
said.

the succ, or something they did while bagging me. the funny
taste in my mouth was the anesthesia; didn't last long.
i do still remember looking out the window after each

Are you sure they're putting the electrodes in the right
places?
the anesthesia tasted funny for me, too. and if they go light
on the muscle relaxant, that would explain the sore feet. for
me, it was always a sore jaw.

maybe it is time to find a new 'he'.
you know the story of when one is young and goes to a keg party and
loses control and wakes up the next morning to find their buddies have
decided to have a bit of fun at one's expense ?. they dress you in a
horse costume, roll you out to a stud farm and shackle your front leg
to the fense at a stud farm and
uh, maybe this is just me... <g
that is kind of what you sound like you are describing with this
p-doc.

here. runs the consultation service at a big teaching
hospital. he's also the only doc qualified to treat me with my
neuromuscular disease. the local docs wouldn't touch me with a
10 ft pole! he's also very sensitive, listens to me and my
wishes, and works well with my other providers.
he just mentioned the ect after every drug on the market isn't
doing it for me, or at least the maoi isn't at the moment. and
the ect worked really well for my depression when i had it
before. of course, no med completely stops the occasional
crash, especially when it's situational, like we think this is
this time.

you know the story of when one is young and goes to a keg
party and loses control and wakes up the next morning to
find their buddies have decided to have a bit of fun at
one's expense ?. they dress you in a horse costume, roll
you out to a stud farm and shackle your front leg to the
fense at a stud farm and
uh, maybe this is just me... <g
that is kind of what you sound like you are describing
with this p-doc.
the pdoc is actually the best there is within 50 miles of
here. runs the consultation service at a big teaching
hospital. he's also the only doc qualified to treat me with
my neuromuscular disease. the local docs wouldn't touch me
with a 10 ft pole! he's also very sensitive, listens to me
and my wishes, and works well with my other providers.
he just mentioned the ect after every drug on the market
isn't doing it for me, or at least the maoi isn't at the
moment. and the ect worked really well for my depression
when i had it before. of course, no med completely stops
the occasional crash, especially when it's situational,
like we think this is this time.

i've already been through all the meds, and ect worked for me
before. if this crash gets very bad, i'm out of options. btw,
he's not the one who put me on ect last time. that was started
before he was my pdoc.

make sure they are using the latest generation equipment
it doesn't have to be a blast that causes damage, ya-know
the equipment is up-to-date and i had them using the
electrodes toward the center instead of the usual bilateral,
which is supposed to cause less problems. i'm just sensitive
to the ect itself. when i was having it regularly, my entire
past was a blank wall, not just the ect period. it's still
slowly coming back, which is why i don't want to start it up
again.

I wonder how hard they'd need to thump me to whack
my memory. the whole thing is immediately avaiable
in multichannel surround memory. maybe that sucks
pffft. I gotta go take my ***** pills and goto sleep
