People look so weird without them - they're part of a pre-vocal
signalling system; it works without us knowing it's even there. It's
something that can take a few days before you really put your finger on
what's changed, but you feel a little uneasy around the person till you
do. Then you just think 'what a wanker'.
Whenever I think about shaving mine off, my wife says they won't
re-grow.
