I would talk with his therapist and try to get ideas. It may be that he's
influenced somehow, perhaps by his illness to do this or just wants to try
something new. The three of you talking together might also be a good
suggestion. I would say it isn't out of the question, I am just concerned
about how you reacted to his decision.

we did all three talk together, and we'll discuss it at his
next therp appt. he just did what seemed logical to him,
without telling us that he wouldn't be where we expected him
to be. that's majorly not ok, and we have to make that point
now, before it becomes a pattern.

Yes, but that is HIS problem, not yours. We moms suffer alot because we
take the responsibility for the happiness of everyone in the family,
even when it's not our job. If he's bored, that's the result of his
behavior.
I know how hard it can be. I have a moper, too. Sometimes when when we
discipline her, it feels more like I'm punishing myself. Hang in there.

you also don't have to put yourself in the same room with them. if they are
going to mope, tell them they can do it somewhere away from you because it
isn't YOUR fault that they made a poor decision that they must now pay the
consequences for.

it is the most important thing like lisa said, but it ain't *all* that
matters, pv. if he gets away with it, he'll do it again and possibly worse
next time. you can't let stuff like this go. i'm pretty sure lisa knows
that already tho. :)

sure do. that's why it's hurting him recreationally and in his
pocket for the appt cost, since insurance won't pay for a
missed one. that'll take a chunk out of his savings. i doubt
it'll happen again.
