i don't think it means anything its just a model number ,
and i think it relates to a PC card for wireless , not the antenna

Oh ok. I need one of those to hook my wifi card to an external
antenna... I think. So confusing. I have to read more about antennas.
I'm confused by all the diagrams, and the SMC's, RPSMA's, VSWR's, and
RPTNC's.

i'm not sure about the , ' i " part ,
but i know bigger Db is better ,
and the tilt is for ,
aiming dead in on the source ,
think like a radar beam ,
or like those lazer lights on a gun ,
anyway , its a beam signal ,
so being able to tilt and rotate the antenna around ,
can be a big advantage in aiming for the best signal

DBi is DB relative to an isotropic antenna. It's a theoretical
antenna that radiates equally in all directions.

Why is it always expressed as a negative number? Like -7, -12...I was
tempted to pick up an omni-directional booster at CompUSA because it was
on sale, open-box - but it was missing the proper connector adapter for
my base station and I didn't know if the -7 Linksys one was better than
the other brand at -10 since they were negative #'s.

What's usually called an omni antenna doesn't go in all directions, it
has a beam pattern shaped like a donut. It radiates in all directions
in a plane, but has nothing off the end.
The isotropic antenna radiates in every direction. It also does not
really exist, it is only used as a reference. What is called an omni
antenna will have about 3DB gain over an isotropic antenna.
