Can you block messages with cross-posts? I know Xnews does it,
don't know about other readers. All I see is %'s replies.

no it's not generalized. OE says block messages from XXXXX group and I
can't specify one group because it's posted to a different group and crossed
posted to us, we're the only common denominator in the cross post.
