There are so many people here who are so broke, and need money, and I just
don't think it was nice of me to wave the salary around. And in any event, I am
not personally worth that kind of salary, it is just a function of law
professors getting a lot.

I wish I could -- I honestly do. If I knew the job would last for more than a
year, and I could count on that kind of money for a while, I'd love to start
some kind of ASD fund for special things or emergency. I have always thought
we should all have an ASD fund -- someone really responsible like Wombn could
manage it, or Jean or Gale or Nina -- or a bunch of others.
Anyway . . .there it is.
