I know. I worked for a sattelite provider. They're a pain in the ***** for
anything more than credit card transactions, and the equiptment is
really expensive.

I've used it on a desktop PC, and while it's faster than dial up,
there's a lot of lag issues and connection timeouts.

some of my friends around here use it ,
but we also get a lot of power flickers and blackouts in storms ,
and they lose their connection all the time and if snow gets on the repeater ,
they can't connect at all

If you spray the dish and the transmitter with pam the snow won't stick.
It slides right off and doesn't effect the signal at all.
