I hope he's closer to feeling safer. I don't expect
miracles from a hospital stay, just a chance to stabilize.
And I'm glad that he hasn't signed himself out early this
time. But I think the staff may be wrong about keeping him
offline. This is part of Slunky's support system. imo.

I know, do you have my number still? I should send you a phone card for
emergencies like this if there is a next time you could take it with you for
calls.

I'm not sure. I think it was in my myspace, and I haven't checked that
in forever. You should send it to me again.

I have long distance and a phone card, and in the hospital they let you
make long distance calls and just put it on your bill and insurance
pays.

Ok I'll email you my phone number and address ok? If you ever need a phone
card don't hesitate to ask, I wouldn't expect you to pay for keeping me and
the group informed.

It's ok. I didn't like being there at first, but I met someone really
great, and that made it all worth it. Plus, I learned a lot of new
skills I can use.

Yeah. He was funny, but he had a very dirty mind, but that made me
laugh. He had a very sharp wit.

First off, I need to catch myself before it's too late to do anything
because it gets like that and NOTHING helps. So if I see myself
slipping, I take a throrazine right off to kick the chemical side of it.
(It heads off the agitation and out of control feelings)
Then there's some other things. I learned some pressure points to
squeeze like right right where I can reach my arms behind my back and
lower down between my kidneys. This helps boost my chi and keeps me
centered and feeling my body (I tend to slip out of my body and
dissociate, which only makes things worse.) Then I have a new
affermation to tell myself while I'm doing that. "Tony deserves to
control the body. Tony deserves to own his feelings. I don't need to cut
to earn that control."

These sound like terrific techniques, Slunky, and I'll
print them out to help remind you, if you get to where it
slips your mind. And to remind myself. I work with
pressure points, too, and it really helps sometimes. When
I remember, heh. Another technique that helps me get "in"
my body is to focus on smell. Light incense, make a piece
of toast, hold a sachet over my nose -- that kind of
thing. It helps, even if it only helps one breath at a
time. Which can be enough sometimes.

Yeah, they said that too, but I haven't tried it. I put heatpacks on my
chest too. I'm also supposed to call my friend if I'm feeling unsafe.

I know. That's why I won't let my wife take my daughter to Arizona with
her. If my wife goes alone, my daughter loses one person, if my wife
took her, my daughter would lose fifteen people.
